On the 30th of October 2022, the president of Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo addressed the citizens of Ghana about the measures about to be deployed by his government to save the dying economy.

Well, amid the anticipation of Ghanaians to hear the plan the president and his government have in mind to save the economy from dying further, the president ended up getting Ghanaians to react distastefully to his speech.

“Fellow Ghanaians, as the French would say, l’argent n’aime pas le bruit, to wit, money does not like noise, sika mpɛ dede. Where there is chaos, where there is noise, where there is unrest, you will not find money”

, this statement made by the president sparked bitter reactions on social media.

In reaction to that, Kwame A-Plus stated that the president only spoke because Ghanaians wanted him to say something about the catastrophic state of the economy but in reality, the president actually had nothing critical or important to tell Ghanaians.

Akufo Addo spoke because everybody said he should say something. Not because he had something to say. Sometimes, silence is golden!!!, he wrote on his Facebook page.
