Ghanaian musician, Joseph Nkrumah Buabeng, well known as Nero X has revealed that digitalization and the use of social media have really helped musicians to reach out to the masses.

Social media are interactive technologies that allow people to create and share information, ideas, interests, and other kinds of expression through virtual communities and networks. Well, Nero X has appreciated the use of these media, saying that musicians have been able to reach out to their fans worldwide through the media.

Speaking in an interview with Abeiku Santana on Okay FM’s Ekwasodwodwo, Nero X stated that the age of people going to marketplaces with CDs of their songs is outmoded due to the introduction of social media.

He said that musicians are now able to sell their songs and make good revenues through online music streaming platforms and also achieve global recognition with their crafts.

In other news, three armed robbers have reportedly been shot dead by the Ashanti Regional Police Command with one arrested during an intelligence-led operation in Kumasi.

According to a statement released by the Ghana Police Service, a team was deployed to mount a search and screening operation based on its intelligence that a gang planned to rob a businessman at Buokom Estate.

After the four suspected criminals were spotted by the police, they engaged in a gunfight with the police officers which led to the death of three of them after they were rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital after suffering severe injuries.
