Many have lamented on the negative effects social media has on the lives of individuals while they commend the positive effect it has on individuals as well.
People have sparked controversies on the platform as they use it to tarnish the reputation of others. Many personalities have lost their relevance and image due to how issues about them are being handled on the platform.
Well, celebrated Ghanaian actor, Ekow Smith Asante has described social media as one of the most dangerous and toxic places on earth. He said that there are a lot of temptations that come along with using social media.
Speaking in an interview with Nkosuohene on the “Ahenfo Nkomo” on Omega Live, the actor said when one is addicted to social media, he/she falls into serious temptation.
“When you get addicted to social media, you will fall into serious temptations. It is more devilish than Jesus Christ,” he said.
Some other personalities reacted to the statement of the actor as they share their ideas and comments on Instagram.
His colleague, Prince David Osei said that he believes that Ekow Smith Asante has met the devil in person, probably his reason for such comment.
Well, we don’t know what Jesus Christ has got to do with the negative effect social media has on people but we hope the actor had his reasons for the statement.
