Sonnie Badu denied ever receiving such an amount. According to him, he was not given a dime, and also, he was not given any seat during the event. He was kept outside.

The member of parliament described the actions as blatant lies and fraud on the part of the government for claiming that gospel musician Sonnie Badu was paid USD$50,000 for a performance in the United States.

“Cathedral people say they paid Sonnie USD50k for his actions during the launch in the USA when they didn’t. Add fraud, and thievery to illegal, unlawful, deception, and lies, on the list. Is there anything Godly in the narrative about this cathedral?”
