South Africa, holds the record as the African country with the highest number of coronavirus cases since it outbreak in the country.

The president of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, speaking at the African Union and G20 teleconferences today, revealed that there are more than 900 confirmed cases of the virus in the country currently. There has been no death recorded or recovery. The president has therefore called on all citizens to observe a national prayer and a period of meditation to help salvage the situation.

The prayer is set to start from 18:00 – 18:30 today.
