One of the prestigious schools in the Eastern Region of Ghana, St Peter’s School won the 2018 National Science and Maths Quiz after edging out West Africa Secondary School (WASS) by just a single point in the grand finale.
At the end of the three round contest, St Peter’s secured 45pts, followed by West Africa Senior High School with 44pts and Adisco got with 39pts.
Adisadel toppled Mfantsipim on their way to the finals, whilst WASS knocked off the defending champions Prempeh College.
Out of the three schools which made it to the finals, it was Persco (St.Peter’s) who were regarded as underdogs because they trailed throughout the earlier rounds but shockingly clinched the trophy in the eleventh hour.
