Ghanaian media personality Stacy Amoateng says the darkest time of her life was when she suffered cervical cancer.

Amoateng narrated how she survived the dangerous disease which resulted following complications from IUD (birth control).

The host of popular television program ‘Restoration’ shared tips and ideas on cervical cancer on Citi TV.

According to Stacy, she lost her hair at a point in combating the disease. Weight loss was another side effect that she battled with. According to her, she lost appetite for food as well.

The award-winning presenter stated that she didn’t want to talk with anyone so she put off all her phones.

She recounted how her husband broke down and cried for the first time during that trial moment.

She revealed that Dr Daniel Asare who is now the CEO at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital played a critical role as she fought for her life.
