Jerry John Rawlings has ordered Ghanaians to continue handle the COVID-19 very serious until its been taken care of.
Ghanaians should observe the rules and protocols until the pandemic is over, the former President advised.
On Tuesday, he commended while paying a duty call on Ex-Private Ashiteye Hammond, a 95-year-old World War II veteran, “I don’t want to take any chances and I think we should all cooperate to handle the pandemic as seriously as we can”.
Ex-Private Hammond took on a seven-day walk to accumulate capital for frontline health workers fighting the coronavirus pandemic.
Magnificently, he raised £27,000 out of £500,000 target walking two miles everyday.
He was applauded by Jerry John Rawlings labeling it as “a noble cause” and promising £1000 to the cause.
He assured others to back the honourbale effort of the veteran to help prevent the coronavirus from spreading and be contained eventually.
