Ghanaian media personality and showbiz pundit, Rya Anakwa has registered her frustrations about the ban placed on Ghanaian musicians from advertising and endorsing betting companies.

The Ghana Gaming Commission in 2020 banned betting companies from using celebrities in their marketing campaigns or as brand ambassadors.
They explained that their decision which most entertainers do not side with is to help curb the youth from gambling.
Most Ghanaian musicians have already kicked against the decision made by the commission as they call on them to rethink and review their decision on that topic.
Well, Rya Anakwa h as also chastised the Gaming Commission, saying that the ban placed on musicians does not make sense. She advised that the commission revisit their decision and review it for the sake of musicians.
Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz, she said; “The ban on celebrities from advertising for betting companies doesn’t really make sense and needs to be reviewed”.
In other news, Ghanaian digital content creator and social media influencer, Michael Owusu Afriyie, broadly known as Teacher Kwadwo has opened up on how life has been for him after he was dismissed from the classroom.
Speaking in an interview with the lifestyle & celebrity blogger, Zionfelix on the Uncut Show, the well-known social media personality stated that life after school is far better than when he was employed as a professional teacher.
He stated that he now has more time to focus on his life and other ventures he wanted to embark on but was being restrained because of his work as a teacher.
He further disclosed that the only part he is concerned about after being dismissed from the classroom by the Ghana Education Service is that the mission he initiated when he was a teacher in his quest to see the betterment of the education system in the country has been halted due to his absence.
Teacher Kwadwo lamented that most of the projects he began has stopped because of his dismissal and his inability to effect those changes because he is no longer a teacher.
