The president of the Songwriters Association of Ghana Mr. Logic has stated artists going into a state of depression after award shows w on’t stop since there’s an existence of award schemes in Ghana.

According to Mr. Logic, there’s always going to be a disappointed artist(s) after an awards show since every artist nominated for an award feels the need to win it because he/ she thinks they deserve to win.
The controversial entertainment pundit and artiste manager stated it’s up to the artists and their management teams to try and manage their emotions and not put their hopes in winning something or to be given special treatment when it comes to awards in Ghana.
Speaking on the Hitz FM’s ‘Day Break Hitz’ morning show with Andy Dosty on the subject raised by the legendary Hiplife sound engineer and record producer Da Hammer on how some artists’ in the country gets depressed whenever they fail to win an award.
He suggested Da Hammer should tackle the point of considering artists when it comes to nominations and awards on an industrial basis rather than making it his personal suggestions and opinions.
He said the various boards and academies on some music award schemes in the country especially the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards board should consider making some changes on some special awards like the ‘Artiste of the Year’ award to suit artists and the industry as a whole.
