Ace Ghanaian Highlife legend, Rex Omar has also jumped to the defense of Yaw Tog following his claims that his collaboration with the British rapper, Stormzy added to his popularity in Ghana.

Recall, Yaw Tog in an interview with MzGee on the New Day show aired on TV3 said that his collaboration with Stormzy on his “Sore” remix made him more popular on the market but he also made Stormzy more popular in Ghana.

According to him, not everyone knew about Stormzy in Ghana until his collaboration with him. However, he said he was aware that the song will be one of his biggest projects considering the efforts he had to put in.

After his claims, Yaw Tog was roasted by Ghanaians on social media as well as some industry players who are of the view that the young rapper was being disprespectful with his comment.

Some suggested that the rapper be careful of his utterances because it might place his music career in jeopardy.

Reacting to this, Rex Omar has ascertained Yaw Tog’s claims of making Stormzy more popular in Ghana. According to the veteran musician, the first time he heard of Stormzy was through Yaw Tog.

Well, this confirms Yaw Tog’s claims of making the British rapper more popular in Ghana. The truth is, his comment was misconstructed by some “Agenda boys” on the digital platform who failed to watch the full video where the rapper made his assertions.
