Nigerian Afrofusion artist Burna Boy has burst out on social media over fake friends and celebrities in Nigerian who faked their well-wishes towards his Grammy award.
Burna Boy who was a nominee at the 2020 Gramms lost the award to Beninese legend Angelique Kidjo.
The ‘Ye’ hitmaker reacting to his experience of life after he lost the award has hinted that most people were happy he lost the award.
In a tweet on Twitter handle, Burna Boy stated that the people who show their support to you in front of you are the same people who want you to fail.

According to Burna Boy, most people wanted to be in his position and because they were not where he is, they harbored hate in them against him.
His tweet is a caution to fans to be careful with fake love.
‘The same people that wish you the best to your face are the same people that hope and pray you Fail so that they can feel better about themselves.
That’s just Life. That’s why complements mean nothing to me cuz hate, Jealousy and “it shoul have been me” are sugar coated by them’ he tweeted.
