Renowned Ghanaian rapper who is also an entrepreneur, Desmond Blackmore who is known as D-Black has rubbished claims that he is a supporter of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

According to him, he is not in any way affiliated with the ruling party as many Ghanaians are made to believe.

It could be recalled that these claims went viral after he congratulated the president, Nana Akufo Addo when he won the 2020 Presidential elections.

Speaking with MzGee on ShowBiz927 on 3FM, he indicated wondered why people read meaning into his tweet where he congratulated the President after the elections adding that they shouldn’t do that because these are not true.

Reacting to photos of him and the president, he indicated that these photos were not taken because he was working for the political party adding that these photos were taken during some of the few instances when industry stakeholders were invited to the Presidents’ house.

To buttress his point, he stated that his father made Nana Akufo Addo his personal lawyer years ago when he was a kid and that was when the relationship between him and the president started.

“The President was my father’s lawyer when I was growing up as a child. So, I am saying Uncle, well done. How is this throwing my weight behind him?” he said.
