Renowned Ghanaian music producer and executive, Richie Mensah has praised the creatives in Ghana as he claims Ghana is blessed with enormous talent and the talent is matchless.

According Richie Mensah, what is taking Ghana back and not rubbing shoulders competitively is because of effecting marketing tactics and lack of infrastructure.

Richie Mensah who currently manages VGMA ‘Artiste of the Year’ winners, KiDi, and Kuami Eugene made this known during an interview on GTV ‘Breakfast Show’ on Thursday.

“The talent in Ghana is unmatched. I say this every time and you can quote me anywhere.”

The award-winning record producer stated that even though the music industry is blessed with numerous talents, the industry lacks infrastructure ideas, and proper marketing strategies.

“We lack infrastructure, ideas like it’s not just about the talent. That’s what people forget sometimes. You can have the nicest song, if nobody hears it, nobody cares. You can have the nicest movie and nobody will ever see it. So, we need an extra push. One thing is that Ghanaians don’t market as hard as other countries. Nigerians are marketing even when they are walking. “

“We have a mentality of oh let things happen organically, and God will make a way, everything go be. Those are the kinds of things Ghanaians say whereas Nigerians and other countries do proper marketing. Yes, God is working for us, but let’s also push to the limit,” Richie Mensah noted.

“I think that entertainment has shaped economies, shaped continents. You know you sit there and US is the superpower in the world. It’s not because of nuclear weapons, it’s not because of oil, it’s not because of technology. It’s because of entertainment, “he asserted.
