Seasoned Ghanaian journalist, Nana Aba Anamoah has also added her voice to the ongoing distasteful reactions expressed by numerous Ghanaians about the current speech given by the president.

On October 30, 2022, the president gave a speech to the country regarding the economy and the government’s upcoming plans to revive the flagging economy and protect Ghanaians’ way of life.
The president, however, made several remarks that Ghanaians thought to be quite offensive and they dragged him online for that.
Earlier, sources claimed that the Bank of Ghana (BoG) will implement new rules for foreign currency as part of the steps and new directions adopted by the Akufo Addo-led government to salvage the economy.
The rumor states that holders of foreign currency accounts will be compelled to withdraw their foreign funds at the Bank of Ghana’s rate. This rumor was quickly disproven, though.
In reaction, Nana Aba Anamoah stated on her Twitter page that the president issued no bsort of apology for his incompetence neither did he accept the responsibility of being the architect of the woes on the country.
She wrote; No apology. No acceptance of responsibility. Nothing, absolutely nothing! Just waffle!!
