The deputy captain of the Ghanaian senior national soccer team, the Black Stars of Ghana, Thomas Partey has recounted what he did when fans stormed the pitch after their match with Nigeria.

It could be recalled that Ghana qualified for the 2022 World Cup by drawing with Nigeria in Abuja and after the match, fans of Nigeria thought their team played badly so they stormed the pitch to destroy some of the facilities.

Video evidence is the to show the devastating effects caused by the outcome of their actions with FIFA even slapping Nigeria with a fine.

In a recent submission with his friend, Nana Aba Anamoah, Thomas Partey revisited the incident and according to him, immediately after the match, he went straight to the dressing room so he watched all the chaos on TV.

The Black Stars will be in Qatar in November and they have been drawn in the same with Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea. This will be the fourth time Ghana has made it to the World Cup after featuring in 2006, 2010, and 2014 editions. The team will be looking forward to doing better than their Quarter-final cameo during the 2010 World Cup and if they succeed, they will be the first African country to achieve this feat.
