Some few weeks ago celebrated Ghanaian rapper Tic Tac now known mononymous as Tic released the remix to one of his old time hits. This remix dubbed Kwani Kwani Part 2, which is a spin-off of his early 2000’s hit song Kwani Kwani had Kuami Eugene guesting on it.

Even though it is enjoying huge radio airplay, most people felt Kwani Kwani part 2 is doing well because Kuami Eugene was featured on it and Tic Tac rode on Kuami Eugene’s fame to shoot himself back into the limelight as his career had taken a nosedive for some time.

But speaking to Mr Skinny (The Citi Buzzer) and PM on the Maxx Overdrive on Radio Maxx in Takoradi, Kuami Eugene felt that Tic used him for that song because he is a smart person and had lots of respect for him as a legendary musician.

Kwani Kwani Part 2 is a hit a song because it’s a song that has a legendary icon like Tic on it and it also has Kuami Eugene on it, so people will want to listen to it. But at the end of the day, I think that is how powerful Tic is. Someone who can go off and say I want to come back into the game, what is the strategy to get back into the game? Ok let me use Kuami Eugene, he used me. He’s back in the game, I mean he is smart for that and we should applaud him’.

Said Kuami Eugene

The Angela crooner went on to say ‘When you turn on the radio these days, almost every song played is my song or a song that I’m part of it. Tic has had a moment like that in Ghana before when I was a primary. So it was an opportunity and a blessing for me to work with him’.

Kuami Eugene is currently promoting Meji Meji; a collaborative song with Davido and he is also gearing up to release his debut album under Lynx Entertainment titled Rockstar on December 15.
