This comes after a comment registered by the well-known TikToker, Asantewaa sparked numerous controversies on social media. Asantewaa in an interview on the United Show segment intimated that musicians will never trend with their songs without the help of TikTokers.

She averred that irrespective of how Ghanaian musicians have mastered their crafts for years, they will still need the intervention of TikTokers to get their songs trending on social media.

Speaking in a Twitter Space interview with @OleleSalvador on the “Deep Throat Convo”. Kidi intimated that TikTok has provided a very important avenue for musicians in the promotion of their songs, hence musicians need to make judicious use of the avenue.

He stated that there are certain changes that come at a point in time that needs to be embraced instead of being challenged, hence he believes the impact of TikTok on the music industry should be embraced.

Kidi further stated that irrespective of the existence of the traditional media, Ghanaian musicians need to take advantage of social media as well in order to elevate their brands to higher heights.
