Just two months after it was restored, Twitter Inc. on Friday again banned the account of Ye, the musician formerly known as Kanye West, because Elon Musk said the rapper had broken the platform’s rules against inciting violence.

Ye’s tweet previously looked to portray a swastika symbol inside a Star of David, and his account afterward displayed a message that it had been suspended.

The musician, now known as Ye, returned to the social media site in October, which was warmly received by Twitter’s billionaire owner, who describes himself as a free speech absolutist.

“I made an effort. Despite this, he once more transgressed our prohibition against inciting violence. The person who tweeted “Elon Fix Kanye Please” received a reply from Musk that said, “Account will be suspended.”

Before his suspension, Ye had more than 30 million followers on Twitter. He did not reply to demands for comment.

Musk has recently indicated his wish for Twitter content posting restrictions to be loosened. He stated last week that some suspended accounts will receive a “universal amnesty” from the site.

Last month, Twitter unblocked certain accounts that had been suspended, including the one used by former US President Donald Trump.

Ye’s future on Twitter was not immediately apparent, and demands for comment to the business went unanswered.

Ye shared a screenshot of Trump’s Twitter account being suspended for 12 hours on the Truth Social network.

The rapper and fashion designer have already stirred up controversy with a number of other deeds, including the tweet scandal. Ye lauded Adolf Hitler on Thursday during an interview with conspiracy theorist Alex Jones for his online Infowars program.
