This comes shortly after the owner of Twitter, Elon Musk announced that he will be giving a new directive for all Twitter accounts impersonating other personalities to be suspended.

He explained in his tweet that Twitter account impersonating other personalities must specify that the account is a parody account, else the account will be permanently suspended.

“Going forward, any Twitter handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying “parody” will be permanently suspended.” he wrote.

Well, Ghanaian rapper, Medikal fell victim to this new directive and he has paid the price for it as his account has been permanently suspended by the operators of the platform.

This was after Medikal updated his profile picture on the platform, using the photo of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as his profile picture. He also changed his username to “Mr. President” for reasons we are yet to find out.

However, it is quite unclear if Medikal’s suspension on the platform has anything to do with the new policy introduced by Elon Musk or has violated other policies.
