The UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) has fin ally taken Cannabis off the list of the world’s most dangerous drugs.

This was after a vote was conducted among all the 53 member states. Per what we gathered, 27 voted in support which 25 voted against one country not taking sides.

It was revealed that Nigeria was part of the countries who opposed the decision, however, they Vienna-based body had to take cannabis off since majority of the member states wanted it off.

This comes after the World Health Organisation (WHO) made a recommendation about the deletion of “cannabis and cannabis resin” from Schedule IV of the 1961 Convention on Narcotic Drugs.
