The President of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, on Saturday, 21st March 2020, gave a brief state of the nation address on the unprecedented coronavirus outbreak in Ghana.

Speaking on the situation, the president revealed that there has been 1 death recorded, a 54 year old Lebanese who has an underlying health case before contracting the virus which facilitated his death.

The rest of the 18 persons have recovered and are currently in their homes receiving quarantine treatment. He charged Ghanaians and all stakeholders to continue adhering to the preventive measures to kick coronavurus out from the country.
