Ghanaian songwriter and musician, Martin King Arthur, popularly known as Kofi Kinaata was not left out in Saturday’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
One of the songs of the highlife artist was awarded the Vodafone Green Award. Kofi Kianaata’s song illegal fishing was award as the Vodafone Green song of the year.

Kofi Kinaata released his new song on the closed fishing season for Ghanaian fishing canoes, May 15 – June 15, 2019. The song dubbed “Illegal Fishing [Closed Season]” was done in collaboration with the Ministry Of Fisheries and the Ghana Sustainable Fisheries Management Project to help increase awareness of the closed fishing season and combat illegal fishing in Ghana whilst promoting best practices.
Kinaata’s illegal fishing track was awarded the Vodafone Ghana Music Award as the Vodafone Green Award. He dedicated his song to the fisherfolk.
