It’s now become a norm that any artiste whose is expectation is not met relative to the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards will literally take the organizers to the cleaners.

And that’s what Jupitar also did. Right after the nominations list for this year’s awards scheme was released, Jupitar took to social media register his displeasure when his was omitted.

According to him, he won Artiste of the Year (Africa) at the Urban Music Awards in the UK last year and therefore should have been recognized in the VGMA as well.

He wrote:

VGMA board, y’all bunch a idiots and hypocrites, I f**king submitted this time and it was a song that actually won big in U.K. (Clowns), keep it up.

Y’all jokers, and you f**king up the game big time, so a song that won big in U.K. Didn’t stand the chance for even just a nomination??? Don’t even ask if I submitted.

However, George Quaye Head of Communications for Charterhouse Ghana, in interview with Andy Dosty, has labeled his rant as very unfortunate and has therefore demanded an unqualified apology from him.

He said:

It was unfortunate that Jupiter decided to go that line, to decide to insult legends that sit on the board.

Despite the decision of the board not to put out the names of the board members, Mr Quaye described them as people whose influence in this industry cannot be doubted in any way and finds it unfortunate when artistes throw insults their way very unfortunate.
