It has been days since the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards ended but some aggrieved players in the industry don’t want bygone to be bygones in relation to some of the anomalies that was recorded during the event.

Ace Ga rapper, Tinny feels VGMA is detrimental to their progress as musicians rather than motivating them as the object of the award scheme underlines.

Tinny has therefore advised artistes to focus on how to make it in life and not on winning awards from Ghana Music Awards.

According to the Makola Kwakwe hitmaker, the award scheme breaks down the spirits of those who do not win it so they should rather focus building their career.

He said in an interview with Accra-based Kasapa FM.

He said:

I always say I won’t let VGMA determine how good my music is because they would nominate you and give the awards to someone else making you feel you did nothing.

Tinny stated emphatically that Patapaa should have won the Most Popular Song of the Year.
