Mr. Logic stated the board should begin thinking of treating the artiste of the year category as a commercial entity rather than nominating whosoever they think deserves to be there as it sends a bad signal about Ghanaian music to the world.

According to the controversial entertainment pundit, it’s a buy idea to commercialized Gospel music and to mix them with some of the ‘worldly’ songs when it comes to award schemes in the country.

He said Diana Hamilton shouldn’t have been nominated in the artiste of the year category in the just ended 22nd edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in the first place because its wrong to mix Gospel music with circular music.

He added Diana Hamilton gained an advantage over the likes of Kidi, Adina, Kuami Eugene, Medikal, and Sarkodie who were also nominated in the same category because of her affliction with the church (Christians).

He said the church deliberately positioned itself to help Diana Hamilton win the artiste of the year just to prove a point to the circular musicians that ‘they have grace’. He added that these same Gospel musicians refuse to do music with other genres of musicians because they feel they are ‘sinners’.
