FC Nantes Ghanaian striker, Abdul Majid Waris was reportedly alleged to have locked himself up in a room and cried his heart out after he was dropped from Ghana’s final squad for the AFCON 2019 tournament.
Head Coach of the Black Stars, Akwasi Appiah named his official 23 man squad for Egypt 2019 on 10 June, 2019 and surprisingly the prolific striker didn’t make the cut.
Just after Majeed Waris heard the news about his omission from the 23 man squad, he decided to boycott the official announcement meeting.
The player was said to have felt really disrespected and disappointed so he locked himself up in his room and wept according to popular Joy Sports journalist, George Addo.
