It wasn’t clear about the details of her arrest but per our source, it is believed that her arrest might be linked to the #FixTheCountry campaign.

A recent update on the story has it that Efia Odo and other #FixTheCountry campaigners were picked up by the police around the courtroom with placards while chanting as a court session was ongoing.

As a reminder, Efia Odo has been one of the celebrities campaigning against the government on social media over their ill-governance in the #FixTheCountry campaign.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources has revealed that the government’s intervention to absorb water bills for all Ghanaians as part of its fight against the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic will end on June 30, 2021.

In a statement released by the ministry, all Ghana Water Company Limited, Community Water and Sanitation Agency, NGOs, and partners in the water industry will have to pay for the water they use starting July 1, 2021.

It would be vividly recalled that the Free Water intervention, which was originally scheduled to run for three months from April 1 to June 30, 2020, was extended twice more in 2020, from July 1 to September 30, 2020, and from October 1 to December 31, 2020.
