Award winning Rapper and artist Sarkodie has endorsed an initiative introduced by the Ghana Embassy in the United States to raise funds to fight against the pandemic Coronavirus.
In a recent video sighted on his page, he has encouraged everyone to throw their weight behind the Ghana Embassy in the States to help in the fight. According to him, the Embassy has partnered with the Churches in the States, professional medical associations, Ghana councils accross the US and other associations to raise funds to support the fight against COVID-19 and also to support Ghanaians both in the States and back home.
The “Saara” hitmaker mentioned that he sees this as a good initiative which is not politically influenced hence calling on all Ghanaians and the whole world to support this initiative introduced by the Ghana Embassy.
He mentioned that these funds which will be raised will be used to improve the health infrastructures, buying of modern tools and medical equipments which will aid in the fight against COVID-19.
The embassy is however calling on Ghanaians to support with an amount of $20 each to support the initiative Sarkodie stated. He also stated that a virtual Concert will be held tomorrow 1st May, 2020 to create awareness of the new initiative.
