Nigerian-born British boxer Anthony Joshua is using all the time he has in Nigeria to visit almost all the very important places that speak of Nigeria’s heritage.
Anthony Joshua made a stop at the Afrika Shrine in Ikeja area of Lagos State on Thursday night were Femi Kuti was performing on stage.
The Afrika Shrine was founded by Nigerian music legend, the late Fela Kuti and is currently under the tutelage of Femi Kuti.
Anthony Joshua just after he climbed the stage to meet Femi, prostrated as it is done in the Yoruba tradition of greeting elders because of course Femi Kuti is 57 years old whilst he is 30.
The Heavyweight Boxing Champion presented his four belts to Femi, with the singer unexpectedly wearing one of the belts on his neck.
