Kumasi based actor and radio presenter known in showbiz circles as Papa Kumasi has made a serious revelation about Ghanaian movie actors and actresses, both those in English speaking movies and Twi speaking movies popular known as Kumawood movies, that they are ‘dying’ since their job is on a high decline lately.

He made this revelation when he was interviewed by a Kumasi based radio station. This revelation comes in the wake of various publications making waves online that popular Ghanaian actress, Rose Mensah locally called Kyeiwaa, is now a dish washer in the United States of America.

Papa Kumasi, being a panel member on the show on which Kyeiwaa’s issue was raised, the host of the program needed confirmation from him if that statement was actually raised on the said program.

When asked about the incidence, he answered in the affirmative, adding that the host of the said program wanted to ‘fish out’ some information from him and that is why she said that.

“It is her job (the presenter) and she was trying to push me… so that I might say something, but I am a presenter myself so if you try to push me I know where you are pushing me” he said.

He added that most Ghanaian movie actors and actresses dress nicely to shows and programs but deep down they are really feeling the heat of the economy and are really suffering. Later in his submission, he said that they should all come together and help each other rather than lambasting their selves.

So we ask if what Papa Kumasi is true, what is really going on in our movie industry?
