There’s a widespread notion that Shatta Wale is given preferential treatment at the expense of Stonebwoy at Zylofon Media.
There are a lot of instances to back this claim, chiefly the pomp and pageantry which greeted Shatta Wale’s signing to Zylofon Media, something which was clearly missing when Stonebwoy was signed to the same record label.
However, Head of Communications at Zylofon Media, Samuel Atuobi Baah aka Sammy Flex has debunked the claim saying it doesn’t make sense to sign a big artiste like Stonebwoy only to ’cause his downfall.’
“It is not true. It is about the different characters we are dealing with.
One is an introvert and the other is an extrovert. Stonebwoy has a way of doing his things same as Shatta.
Shatta wants everything around him to be noisy, Stonebwoy can come in here, decide to just sneak in with nobody seeing him…We treat everybody equally.”
“How can you invest in an artiste and hate the artiste at the same time, it is not possible.
How can you invest in a product and pray and wish for the downfall of the product, nobody in their right thinking will do this,” Sammy added.
