Mr. Drew, born Andrew Commey Otoo has appealed to benevolent and well-to-do brands to invest their resources into young musicians in Ghana.

According to him, the music industry lacks investors who would project and push the craft of musicians with their resources. He explained most musicians have mastered the music business and they are willing to make profits for whoever invests in them.
Speaking in an interview with Kwadwo Sheldon, Mr. Drew stated that due to some past experiences some investors have had with some Ghanaian musicians, some are unwilling to invest their funds into musicians.
He also mentioned that the reason why some Nigerian musicians are gaining more fame than Ghanaian musicians is that most Nigerian musicians are being backed up by investors, hence they are able to achieve a lot of success within a short period of time.

In other news, ace Ghanaian rapper, Maradona Yeboah Adjei, well known in the music scene as Guru has revealed what caused the separation of defunct music group Wutah after he revived and reunited the members.
Speaking in an interview with Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey Santana on Okay FM’s Ekwansodwodwo segment, the hiplife rap artiste stated that he managed to revive and reunite the group members, Wutah Kobby and Wutah Afriyie but there was a misunderstanding with regards to how funds will be shared among them.
According to him, he sealed his deal with the group but unfortunately, the group wanted a second opinion and adjustments about how the money will be shared between them.
Guru stated that because he was not a member of the group, one of them decided to let him take the 20% of the income they make from their music.
“We were able to revive the group and we succeeded but after the group gained ground and one of the members of the group said that it is not right for them to split the profit with me on an equal basis, hence I deserve like 30% or 20% of the profit they gain from the contract”, he said.
