Theophilus Nii Arday Otoo, a Reggae Dancehall recording artist who w as born in Epixode, has explained why he disagrees with the Ghana-Nigeria musical analogy.

“I don’t really support the Ghana Nigeria comparison because they have a structured industry and besides a Nigerian can die for each other,” he disclosed.

“We don’t have that thing as Ghanaians and you’d notice that these Nigerians have a united front so Davido and Wizkid might be fighting but if Wizkid wins a Grammy, Davido will surely post,” he opined.

He stated on Kastle FM in Cape Coast “That is not the issue of a Ghanaian artiste, everyone is struggling for theirs alone so we are scattered in the game to just ensure that these things work”.

The “Atia” hitmaker claimed that due to their enormous population, Nigeria is now the focus of attention when it comes to music from Africa on the Kastle Entertainment Show.

He continued “Our love for each other doesn’t match up to what these Nigerians have besides the investment there is huge and their numbers alone show that they will take over the world and they’ve even taken over the world.

“The whole world is looking at Nigeria now when it comes to African music so for me the Ghana Nigeria comparison I don’t really support it because market-wise they are far gone,” Epixode told Amansan Krakye.
