Ghanaian Choreographer and musician, Afrobeast who happens to be the co-founder of the Dance With Purpose Academy has explained why his partner, Dancegod Lloyd couldn’t perform at the Global Citizen Festival concert.

Speaking in an interview on the Daybreak Hitz segment with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, Dancegod Lloyd was the first person to call the team to inform them about the deal to perform with the American singer, Usher Raymond.
However, Dancegod Lloyd who is their leader was not available to perform at the concert with them, hence they needed to proceed with their rehearsals for the concert without him.
He said that Dancegod Lloyd was in Nigeria during the rehearsals for the Global Citizen Festival and only arrived in Ghana on the day of the event, hence it was too late for him to join the crew on stage.
He also revealed that one of Usher’s choreographers reached out to him on Instagram, saying he has been following their works on Instagram and would like them to perform with Usher at the concert.
As a reminder, the just-ended Global Citizen Festival had a number of top-tier musicians passing through to thrill the audience with intimate performances.
One of the best performances for the night was Usher Raymond and the DWP Academy. The dance crew together with the singer gave an electrifying performance with their outstanding dance moves as the singer performs.
