Ghanaian rapper, Maradona Yeboah Adjei, affectionately known as Guru has revealed that he has now been enrolled in the University of Ghana, Legon after abandoning his course because of music.

Speaking in an interview with Halifax Ansah Addo on Okay FM, Guru revealed that he was studying Marketing when he abandoned the course to venture into music in 2007 when he was at level 200.

According to the rapper, he abandoned his education to venture into music and even had to travel outside the country to accomplish some business transactions in o ther countries because he loved doing business more than anything at some point in time.

However, after some time, he realized that he was not making waves in the music scene as he used to when he emerged into the scene, hence he decided to use this period of his irrelevancy in the music game to go back to school and finish what he started.

“I realized that at some point in time, music was not making any effect on my life so I decided to use that opportunity to continue with education to get my degree so I’m currently schooling at Legon”, Guru said.

Guru further stated that he had to start from level 100 due to the fact that he changed his course from marketing to political science and info. studies and even though he could have enrolled as a mature student, he’d prefer to have the entire experience.
