Ghanaian singer Kuame Eugene has revealed that despite his huge brand, he does not want to look beyond his horizon on the international stage.

We don’t know the context of the statement considering that it’s the dream of every artiste to make waves globally. He shared this sentiment in a recent interview with Pan African Music (PAM).

Moreover, he recently appeared on the biggest African song on YouTube which is Nigeria’s CKay’s ‘Love Nwantiti’ so it’s a bit puzzling why he insists it’s only important for him to remain relevant locally only.

He explained himself by saying;

Regardless of whatever happens, we get most of our money in Ghana. There are some endorsement deals in our country. International companies that come to settle in Ghana are gonna ask who is the biggest here.

And I want them to hear Kuami, Kuami! When you come to Ghana, I’m on a billboard, I’m on radio, I’m on TV and it’s because I am what people locally want. I don’t want to leave, go international and lose what I have here. I need to figure out how to combine both and how to gain from both sides.
