Ghanaian gospel musician, Joseph Oscar Nii Armah Mettle who is widely known as Joe Mettle has revealed that there have been countless times that he has rejected certain ambassadorial deal.

The award-winning gospel musician made this known in a recent interview on the popular Ghanaian radio station, Hitz FM.

In the interview, he said;

“Sometimes I reject certain ambassadorial deals. Accepting an ambassadorial deal has to do with the arrangement of the company. If it has to do with one particular product, then I can consider it.

If I am approached by a betting company for endorsement, it will be a firm ‘NO.’ As a gospel musician, you need to know where to draw the line.

If a betting company approaches me to sponsor my KADOSH tour, I won’t take it. No company will give you money without expecting anything in return.”

This comes just a few days after he made a revelation about gospel musicians finding it very difficult to get the needed sponsorship.

“Some companies are reluctant to support gospel musicians because of the genre of music they do.

For my Kadour Tour, some of the companies we approached for sponsorship didn’t sponsor us. Some of them initially agreed to sponsor and disappointed at the last minute.

I didn’t say companies are refusing to invest in gospel musicians. I was misquoted,” he said.
