One of the pioneers of Hiplife and best GH rappers of all time, Obrafour has revealed in a fresh interview with Graphic Showbiz why his music is timeless.
The Rap Executioner as his teeming fans call him said the main key is to have profound words meant to cause an awakening in the listener.
He stated,
I think a lot about what I write for my fans and Ghanaians. I want to be remembered for good music so I don’t just put anything out there. I have to be responsible for the words I use in my songs.
I was raised up to always use the right words when addressing anything and that has shaped me to be a better rapper.
According to Obrafour, music should have substance. ‘I believe music should have substance. Anyone listening to your music should be able to pick one or two lessons from it. There are few musicians in Ghana who do that and I am one of them and that is the reason my songs are always evergreen,’ he added.
He further acknowledged the favour of God in his life which has kept relevant in the game for this long. He added;
I am someone who believes in God and I know His favour is what keeps me going. I have a lot to offer Ghanaians and I know the God I serve will see me through.
