Singer Wiyala has disclosed her reasons for skipping an award and citation that were to be presented to her after her performance in New York, and she has issued a warning to the organizers not to disparage her in any manner.
Wiyala claims that she and Shatta Wale were meant to get the award/ citation following their performance yesterday, but it was instead given to him on stage after he sang a few songs, giving the impression that she wasn’t present.
She walked away from the citation that was going to be given to her because she felt that the organizers had spoken to her differently backstage than they had done on stage.
Shatta Wale and Wiyala were the only Ghanaians who performed at the Summer Stage concert and it’s unfortunate that things thing didn’t end well because of how the organizers allegedly handled things per the explanation of Wiyala, they didn’t do well at all.
