Renowned Ghanaian presenter, Jay Foley has indicated that young Ghanaian musician, Yaw Tog is being appreciated currently because he is new in the system.
According to him, people tend to like new products adding that every new thing tend to get the most attention.
He was reacting to a comment made by the popular Ghanaian entertainment commentator, Mr Logic about Yaw Tog.
Mr Logic is of the view that Yaw Tog should focus on his education rather than his music adding that he is even overhyped and his music doesn’t make sense to him.
Reacting to this in a recent submission on Hitz FM, Jay Foley said;
“Yaw Tog is not necessarily overhyped. First of all, people tend to like new products. They get the most attention.
Mr Logic is not necessarily wrong for saying Yaw Tog is overhyped. Maybe people have a problem with the word. Mr. Logic, in a way, is telling us to pay more attention to what Yaw says in his raps. Not just the excitement.
It is wrong for us to say ‘is Migos making sense in their music?’. We are not in Migos’ land. We do not do what they do.
Whether you are making sense in your music or not, you’d have your shine and leave. Yaw Tog is getting the love and attention because he is new.”
