Shatta Wale was at his witty best when he stated in a fresh interview that he still wants to be seen as a local champion despite his project with R&B sensation, Beyonce.

Following his collabo with Bey, social media users trolls jokingly applauded him for finally dropping the local champion tag and handing it over to Kwaw Kese.

As it stands now, Wale’s status has changed and moving forward, he’ll no longer be called a local champion, a tag he earned for dominating the local scene yet not being recognized on the international level.

When Arnold Elavanyo caught up with him in Vibes In 5, he asked the Dancehall Naa if he should still be regarded as a local champion.

In response, opana answered in the affirmative and said he still wants to hang that lebel on his head, noting that it was this dominance in his ‘locality’ that caught the attention of the American superstar, Beyonce.

Arnold: Are you still a local Champion?

Wale: Oh yes! Am still and will forever be. I love to be a local Champion. Because of my Localness , Beyonce wants to enter my Locality.
