Veteran Ghanaian musician Gyedu-Blay Ambolley has stated in a recent interview on OKAY-FM that Shatta Wale can’t claim to be a dance hall artist if he copies every style of Jamaican musician.
He went on to say that Shatta Wale is a copycat .
He told Abeiku Santana in the interview with him that all other Ghanaian artists who claim to be kings of foreign genres should be ashamed.
Gyedu-Blay Ambolley added that if Shatta Wale and the other likes of Ghanaian artists claim to be the monarchs of dancehall, then how would artists like Vybz Kartel, Mavado, Alkaline, and others be branded?
