Monalisa Chinda’s first marriage with Dejo Richards hit the rocks in 2009, five years after the marriage was established. Monalisa had insisted in a previous interview that she was young and naive at that time and the person she got married to was wrong for her.

“No, I don’t see it as a mistake. I was just young and naive. I met the wrong person at the right time. The person was wrong for me, so what I did was to dust the dirt off my body and move on,” she said when asked if it was a mistake for marrying him.
Fortunately, she’s going strong with her current partner, Victor Tonye Coker whom she married in 2016. They have chalked 4-years since they moved under one roof as husband and wife. She took to Instagram to write; “It’s our anniversary ❤ #maynothingseparateusfromtheloveofGod#wemove.”
