A 13 year old girl called Faith was narrated her plight after she was rescued by Child’s Right and Rehabilitation Network (CRARN) in Akwa Ibom State.

Faith explained that she was discriminated against and abused in her aunt’s house there by pushing herself to the streets and abandoned buildings.

The NGO also revealed that Faith who has no idea of her parents whereabouts bears the name of her grandfather and lived with her aunt in Nsit Ubium LGA.

A statement released by the NGO on Sunday reads;

“At home, she faces myriads of discrimination and abuses which unfortunately compelled her to frequently sleep in abandoned buildings and sometimes in the bush until yesterday when a Good Samaritan led her to the CRARN Children Centre, Eket where she currently takes refuge and goes to school,”

Faith added that she wants to be doctor or banker in future so she is studying very hard at school. She told CRARN administrative personnel.

“I am planning to become a doctor or a banker by the Grace of God that’s why I study very hard in school.”
