In a report by the Daily Post, about 17 cases of child abuse have recorded in Oyo State in just four months.

The months under considering is from March 2020 to June 2020.

This was revealed by the Oyo State Government with the ages of the victims between one to seventeen.

This was revealed in a report presented by the Chairman, Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Inclusion’s Rapid Response Team on Sexual, Gender-Based Violence and Child Abuse, Mr. Marcus Williams.

In his submission, he explained as part of the activities of the team, they were required to prevent and protect children from violence and all other forms of ill-treatment.

Speaking on the challenges, he mentioned that incomplete information on violence survivors and inaccurate reports were major challenges the team faced.
