Nigerian rapper, Victor Ncha Odu better known as Vic O, has turned to social media to clarify why a song he was scheduled to record with Jay Z, the American rap mogul, never materialized.

Before he went to Nigeria in 2011, a fan claiming to be Jay-Z’s sibling contacted him and said the two wanted to record a song together, per the statement of the rapper.

Unfortunately, when Vic O arrived in Nigeria 11 years ago, he lost all of his contacts, making it impossible for him to reach Jay Z’s purported brother.

However, the news of the scheduled collabo had already spread, and the Nigerian singer stated that he was quizzed about it during an interview.

he captioned the video as: The Truth about #jayz & I Vic.O having a track together. And I want to advice other public figures out there.. Before taking any news to social media or interviews do your findings well before doing that.. Believe me I’ve learned my lesson from this single mistake….. Remain blessed and stay safe.”

village__guy: Bro don’t mind these trolls. I remember when you made a song to diss Meek mill and Drake and they had to reconcile after listening to the song. These people don’t know how much impact you have made in the American music industry. Just leave them.

farbulouz: She told you that…??. But she’s jay z’s brother. How woman turn to man. But then it means any one can call you and just cook up lies and then you believe. It is well.
