In other news, an old statement has emerged where General Muhammadu Buhari, the Congress for Progressive Change’s (CPC) presidential candidate in 2011, announced that the party was hostile to the federal government’s elimination of fuel subsidies.
The governorship candidate of the CPC in Adamawa State; General Mohammed Buba Marwa exposed the old statement of Buhari against the reduction of fuel subsidy.
Buhari asked Nigerians to come up and speak with one voice to prevent the planned elimination of fuel subsidies from becoming a reality, speaking in Yola at the flag-off campaign of General Marwa.
Buhari further said that the current Boko Haram threat is the result of poor leadership on the part of the PDP-led administration.
He said: Nigerians are being deceived on the issue of fuel subsidy, The federal government takes out fuel for refining, only to come back and talk of removing the subsidy. That is nonsense and an attempt by a clique with the PDP led federal government to siphon the proceeds to be realized from the removal of oil subsidy”.
