Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos has shared a derogatory email he received from an angry customer in response to the company’s outspoken support of the “Black Lives Matter movement.”

I was placing an order with your company when I discovered your statement of support for Black Lives Matter,” the man wrote in the email, published by Bezos on his personal Instagram page. “I canceled my order and I know for a fact I won’t be the only one.”

In response, Bezos addressed the man directly and said he was “the kind of customer I’m happy to lose.”

The email was sent to the CEO from a man named Dave, who attacked the billionaire for aiding the Black Lives Matter movement.

Bezos and the Amazon group as a whole have been vocal in supporting the Black Lives Matter movement in the wake of George Floyd’s death. In a May 30 Instagram post,

he wrote: “The pain and emotional trauma caused by the racism and violence we are witnessing toward the black community has a long reach.”

The company also announced that it would be giving out an amount of $10Million to organizations supporting justice and equity.
