We have sighted a report which stated that more of the abducted Chibok girls have escaped from Boko Haram captivity.

These girls were reportedly abducted by the terrorist group, Boko Haram in 2014 and as we speak, not all of them have been released.

The report which was made by the Daily Trust has a parent confirming that some of the parents were contacted by officials handling the girls’ disappearance about development and that the affected parents might be invited to Maiduguri very soon.

The Secretary of Chibok Parents Association, Lawal Zannah also stated that he was informed that some of the girls had escaped but is yet ascertain the number.

In his submission, Lawal Zannah said;

“We heard that some of our girls have escaped from the forest, but we are yet to get the detail about their number.”

So far, only 107 out of the 276 have been found with a search for the rest still ongoing.
